2026 Global Security Forum
The Future of Alliances
October 19–21, 2026

The 2026 Global Security Forum (GSF) will take place from October 19–21, 2026, in Doha, Qatar. Held under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, the Forum is hosted by The Soufan Center and the Qatar International Academy for Security Studies (QIASS).

In a year defined by rapid escalation, shifting alignments, and renewed questions about the durability of the international order, the Global Security Forum 2026 will address the theme “The Future of Alliances,” reflecting on where alliances are being tested, reconfigured, and, in some cases, fundamentally reimagined in today’s geopolitical landscape. GSF 2026 will bring together senior leaders and practitioners to examine how alliances can endure amid mounting pressures on legitimacy, trust, and cooperation.

More details, including speaker announcements, session themes—will be released in the coming weeks.
